Ex-Tekun CEO claims trial to corruption charges

Former Tekun Nasional CEO and managing director Abdul Rahim Hassan today claimed trial to two charges of corruption at the Shah Alam Sessions Court.
The 62-year-old is accused of soliciting RM36,000 bribe on Jan 13, 2015 via SMS, in exchange for expediting payment for claims filed by Pasadana Sdn Bhd amounting to RM360,009.08, an offence under Section 16(a)(A) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.
He is also facing a second charge under the same provision for allegedly receiving the RM36,000 bribe at the Kelab Shah Alam lobby at 9.30pm on Jan 15 that year.
