EXPLORING ISTIQLAL MOSQUE/MASJID ISTIQLAL (ALHAMDULILLAH!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!)

I visited Istiqlal Mosque/Masjid Istiqlal here in Jakarta Indonesia. Istiqlal Mosque/Masjid Istiqlal is the largest Mosque in South East Asia. It can hold 200,000 people.

It is one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been in. It is stunning in size and the architecture of the structure is great.

I was lucky enough to have a great tour guide who gave me great information on Istiqlal Mosque, Islam and Indonesia in general. I cannot thank her enough for the great information.

I also visited Jakarta Cathedral which is across the street from Istiqlal Mosque. It was another very impressive structure. It was very quiet, peaceful and spiritual.

It was great to visit both buildings and I felt very welcome in both of them.
