The third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic started in Sabah around September last year, and one of the worst hit areas was Lahad Datu. Zaiddin Abdul Rahim, an ustaz, is one of the local frontliners who has been volunteering since the pandemic began in March.

For close to one year, he had helped carry out more than 50 funerals for the local Muslim community.
