One of the Greek Islands' most wonderful destinations the town of Fira on Santorini is perched on cliff tops 1,000 feet above the Aegean Sea. The buildings in the town are either brilliantly whitewashed or painted in dazzling colours making the whole area appear like a colourful artwork on the brown canvas of the hillsides. People from around the world visit this friendly island, many arriving via cruise ships which anchor in the bay. The town is famous for its incredible sunsets and any bar or restaurant with a westerly ocean view will fill up in the hour or two before sunset with people waiting to see Nature's spectacular show. So be quick!
