Gatco settlers gather at Bukit Aman to demand federal police intervention

Some 70 settlers from Kg. Gatco gathered outside of the Bukit Aman Police HQ demanding for them to intervene and stop the alleged abuse of power by the state police.
Their demands include the setting up of a special team from Bukit Aman to investigate the alleged abuses. These demands were recorded in a memorandum handed over to the police by PSM Central Committee Member S Arutchelvan
This was after his request to enter Bukit Aman to hold a meeting to dicuss the demands was denied. The group's grievances are from the arrests of over 50 villagers over a land tussle in Kg. Gatco
The Jempol police say that all their actions against the villagers are done under orders from the Negeri Sembilan State Police Contingent.
