As we all know, Taylor Swift JUST celebrated her 28th birthday on December 13th, and, of course, fans, friends and squad-members alike were sure to wish her the happiest of birthdays across all social media platforms. Except for supermodel BFF Gigi Hadid, that is.
That’s right! Gigi waited a whole two days to post photos of her and Tay on insta in celebration of the big 2-8, and even though she was about 48 hours late, we’ve gotta say… the adorable birthday post was worth the wait. Along with two adorable photos of her and Taylor on Instagram, Gigi wrote, QUOTE, “A belated wish to an incredible friend, a brilliant mind, a huge heart: HAPPIEST BIRTH[week] my T @taylorswift, you know I love you beyond. You make me so proud!”
Ugh… we told you it was adorable, but we have to be honest, if we were besties with Taylor, we would NEVER leave her hanging on a birthday post! However, Gigi did come through on Twitter the next day with an excuse as to why she hadn’t yet posted. After a fan reminded her of Tay’s birthday (as if she needed a reminder at all), Gigi responded saying, QUOTE, “I get a social media late-pass cause I’m traveling & have no pics on my new phone. U know she got the love irl.”
Hmm… we’d totally understand that if the two weren’t super famous, but to be honest, she probably could’ve just Googled around for some photos, right?
