'Gov't needs to be clear on SOPs for kindergarten, childcare centres'

Several MPs have called on the government to be clear on their instructions on the operation of kindergartens, childcare centres and nurseries with the implementation of the nationwide movement control order (MCO) from May 12 onward.

In a press conference today DAP’s Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching highlighted the governments poor coordination with regard to the operation of kindergartens in the country.

Meanwhile, Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh pointed out how there were four different authorities in charge of early childhood education making it confusing for parents, she added that they should be all parked under a single body under the Ministry of Education.
