Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said that there needs to be a review on the standard operation procedures (SOP) in the event of any disasters for better coordination between state and federal agencies.
He said a national review of the SOP is needed so that there can be better cooperation with all agencies such as with the Meteorological Department which will allow for states to be better prepared to face unexpected and severe storms and carry out rescue work.
