An eight-year-old Guatemalan boy, Felipe Gomez Alonzo who died in the custody of U.S. border agents in December was buried in his hometown of Yalambojoch on Sunday. Gomez and his father were detained on Dec 18 in El Paso, Texas, for illegally entering the country. Gomez became sick and died a few days later. He was the second Guatemalan child to die in December month while being held by U.S. authorities, sparking outrage from immigration advocates.
