As the cost of living continues to bear down on Malaysians, the minister in charge of consumerism Hamzah Zainuddin said this should not be a solo effort.
He said it was "not fair" for him to shoulder the burden alone, and that others such as the Transport, Education, Health, and Housing and Local Government ministries should also think about their collective responsibility in tackling the rising cost of living.
However despite the problem not being his alone, he said that his ministry is determined to become the solution.
He was speaking to officers from the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives, and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) at a monthly staff gathering in Putrajaya today.
