Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub said Pakatan Harapan may have to consult its partner BN should Pejuang wish to enter the pact.
"Our recent meeting at the World Trade Centre agreed that Harapan and BN should focus on (existing relations), without new cooperation with other coalitions or parties.
"Based on my experience, we will wait to hear from Pejuang president Mukhriz Mahathir, who perhaps wants an official meeting.
"After that, Harapan can either make a decision or discuss the matter with BN. Only then can Harapan state their position on Pejuang," Salahuddin said in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, according to Utusan Malaysia.
