The moment has finally come. After months and months of growing out his luscious locks, Harry Styles has decided to part ways with it, but don’t be said, he did it for a good cause!
Even though Harry did tell James Corden on the Late Late Show not too long ago that he was planning on cutting his hair and donating it to a good cause, this move still came as a shock to us all. On the morning of May 6th, Harry Edwards Styles chopped off his hair and told the world via Instagram. Harry snapped a photo of his hand holding onto a giant chunk of his hair with “Whoops. #Littleprincesstrust” as the caption of his picture and of course, I have a feeling every Directioner out there probably reacted like this.
Okay, that’s a little dramatic, but a lot of fans did start mourning the loss of HareBear’s hair with tweets. One user wrote, “no one at my work even knows who Harry Styles is and they’re making it very hard for me to process my emotions about this haircut.”
I’m feeling for you, Brittany. Thankfully you can process your emotions through Twitter with the rest of the millions of Directioners who are going through the same thing. But, not everyone wants to talk things out. Others like Brianna are shutting people out of their lives so they can mourn the loss of Harry’s hair in private…
While a few fans struggled to understand why they felt so strongly and so sad about someone -- okay, I know Harry isn’t just someone, but bear with me here – someone who just cut their hair.
However don’t be sad for too long. Even we’re saying goodbye to Harry’s hair, the singer revealed in his hashtag that it’ll actually be going towards a good cause called Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
That’s seriously so sweet of him. I’m sure a part of the reason why he parted ways with his long hair was because of his movie, but that’s beside the point. Now that his long hair is gone, we’re going to need a selfie of Harry and his new ‘do ASAP.
