Harry Styles’ LA show at the Troubadour may have been a secret, but little did we all know, the singer was keeping an even bigger secret from all of us.
Today’s episode is brought to you by the Un-carrier®. With unlimited data from T-Mobile®, the party never ends.
To no one’s surprise, Harry played to a sold out crowd not long after announcing his secret concert at The Troubadour in LA on Friday. And while it’s safe to say everyone who attended the show pretty much lost their minds since they were able to see Harry up close in an intimate venue, the ‘Sign of the Times’ singer’s feelings were probably next level because he got to perform not one, not two, but THREE songs with the one and only Stevie Nicks.
After performing with Stevie freaking Nicks, the singer was quoted saying on stage, “Yup, definitely the best night of my life.” Honestly, I don’t blame him because I’d say the same thing too.
The superstar pairing did a duet of Harry’s song, ‘Two Ghosts,’ Stevie’s solo hit ‘Leather and Lace,’ and of course one of Fleetwood Mac’s greatest hits, ‘Landslide.’
But the secret show and singing with Stevie weren’t the only highlights of Harry’s weekend. The singer broke a MAJOR record after debuting his solo album. Harry’s self-titled debut album made it to number one on the UK charts that same day and then went on to take over the top of the charts in America, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Australia – not too shabby for a former boy band member, huh?
Although all of that is a pretty incredible feat for boy bander turned solo artist, his best achievement of those has to be his success in the US. The ‘Two Ghosts’ singer broke the record for best-selling first week by a solo British male artist’s debut album with a total of 230,000 whopping copies. And that was a record that used to belong to Sam Smith.
Harry Styles is definitely a force to be reckoned with, but I’m sure we all knew that before he decided to go solo.
