If you’ve missed Harry Styles’ angelic voice, well, don’t worry because it looks like the One Direction will be making his musical comeback very soon.
It was only a matter of time until Harry signed a solo deal! A musical insider recently revealed to Billboard that the One Direction singer has signed a recording contract with Columbia Records, which is basically the same label that One Direction is under.
But, this whole solo deal shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to fans. It has always been heavily rumored that Harry would go solo after 1D and once the group went on their hiatus, the rumors became more and more frequent. Not to mention the fact that Harry registered four solo songs last year with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, which added more fuel to the fire.
As of now, very little is known about the deal that Harry signed, but there’s another piece of bad news that goes along with that. Are you ready for it? Well, even though Harry signed the contract, don’t expect the singer to release a solo album any time soon. The source told Billboard that there’s actually no official timeline for a solo album. So…we won’t be getting a Harry Styles album for quite some time, but we’ll all get to see the 1D singer act his heart out on the big screen and that’s still something, right?
While Harry is off doing awesome things in Dunkirk and probably writing bits and pieces of new music on the side thanks to his new fancy deal, his good pal Louis Tomlinson is putting his reality competition knowledge to good use. It has just been announced that the One Direction singer has been chosen to be a guest judge on the America’s Got Talent panel in July and there’s definitely no doubt that Louis will be paired up with Simon Cowell.
