Harry Styles was considered for an iconic movie role in the new Star Wars spinoff!
As if Harry’s SOLO music release wasn’t enough, we almost saw him play the famous Han SOLO.
A new movie role ALMOST took Harry Styles to a galaxy far, far away! According to multiple sources Harry was in the running to play a young Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars spinoff movie, slated for a May 2018 release. The 23-year-old was on a long list of people being considered by the film executive’s to play a younger version of Harrison Ford’s role.
Disney eventually cast unknown actor Alden Ehrenreich for the part but according to The Sun Harry may still be considered for other roles in the franchise. This could include a small part in the rumored Obi Wan spin-off film.
A source revealed it was Harry’s major starpower that got him the consideration saying QUOTE, “Harry was one of the early names in contention when the studio looked at Han Solo. Even though he had virtually no acting experience, they saw he had huge star potential and would give the solo project enormous publicity.”
Aside from his lack of acting experience, another factor that may have contributed to Harry losing out on the role is his time commitments relating to his solo music. And as you know, Harry is making his big acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s war film Dunkirk, out this July.
Okay, we gotta know if YOU think Harry would have made a good Han Solo? Leave your final thoughts on the matter down in the comments!
