Liam Payne Signs SOLO Deal - Joins Ariana Grande, The Weeknd On Republic Records

Liam Payne has signed with US record company Republic Records who also works with Drake, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande. The labels CEO and co-founder Monte Lipman says quote, ““Being a member of the most successful group of the last decade, Liam has a tremendous opportunity to make an even greater impact on pop culture. We’re honored by Liam’s decision to join Republic Records, and have extremely high expectations for his solo career.” Liam is just the latest 1D member to sign a solo deal. Zayne Malik was the first to separate and come out with solo music. And following that Niall Horan recently signed with Capitol Records and released his first song last month, “This Town.” Harry Styles also signed a solo deal in June but no music as been released yet.
Though it pains us to see our One Direction members going in a bunch of different directions, we can still be thankful they are creating and blessing us with great music! Liams label promises us that new music will be coming out soon!
