Liam Payne is dishing his two cents on what he really thinks about his fellow 1D bandmates’ new music, and it’s not quite sitting well with Directioners…
He dissed 1D with his lyrics just yesterday, so did Liam jump right back on the diss train, this time with Harry as his target?
The four remaining One Direction members have all ventured out into all different directions this year, but the support within the group has remained strong, as seen by multiple tweets and kind words occasionally exchanged between each other.
However many Directioners aren’t too happy with Liam Payne’s recent interview where he discusses Niall Horan and Harry Styles’ new music choices, as he applauds Niall saying QUOTE, “Niall’s gone down the singer-songwriter route, which is really cool”, but when asked about Harry’s new music, many accused him of coming across as slightly more distasteful. Take a look:
Alright, so I’m gonna do my best to play mediator for a sec, so before the comments start flooding in, I do want to say that not everyone’s music is going to be best suited for every single person, AND Liam was also quick to admit that he thinks Harry would probably think the same thing about his music. After sharing his opinion, he revealed QUOTE, “I think the funny thing is, he’d say the same thing about me because he doesn’t really listen to hip hop music.”
Although many fans came after Liam yesterday for seemingly dissing 1D in his new lyrics revealed on Snapchat filters placed in different cities stating, “You know I used to be in 1D (now I’m out free)”, Liam revealed in another interview that he had some of the best times in his life in the band.
In fact, he’s even determined to get the band back together for one more reunion album. He said, “I’d like to think there was one. There deserves to be. There was an album that wasn’t toured which I wrote half of. It deserves its time. we need to write another album and do some more tours.”
Ok so that may not happen any time in the very near future, due to records being recorded, tours being sold out, and families being made, it sure does give us something to look forward to. But speaking of Liam’s new role as a family man, despite his new and even more demanding schedule, he admits he wouldn’t change a thing, saying “I can’t complain. I love the cards that I’ve been dealt.” Liam even admitted to making big lifestyle changes for his son, saying, “I stopped smoking. I was like, ‘I’m not gonna be smoking with my son, it’s not right’. My life’s not my own anymore.”
Well it seems like Liam’s got quite the good thing going for him, and hey, if he sees a future 1D reunion in the cards, we’ll just have to take his word for it, but right now I want to know all your thoughts on Liam’s quote about Harry’s music – do you think it was meant to be a diss?
