Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson musically reunited and they did it all for an amazing cause.
It’s not a full One Direction reunion, but we’ll take what we can get!
Liam, Louis, along with a bunch of other musical stars all came together to raise money for the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. The cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s iconic ‘Bridge Over Troubled Waters’ was recorded by one half of One Direction, Rita Ora, Jessie J, Leona Lewis, James Blunt, Robbie Williams, the London Community Gospel Choir and so many more.
The charity single, which was put together by none other than Simon Cowell, is available for purchase on iTunes.
Of the single, which was done in just three days, Simon said in a statement on the Artists for Grenfell donation page QUOTE, “Following the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in West London, the record industry came together to record a single for the victims of the disaster. Over 50 artists gave their time and support to make this happen.”
On top of getting some of the world’s biggest artists together for a charity single, Simon also reportedly donated 100,000 pounds towards the Grenfell Tower funds to help those in need.
