Normani has nothing but positive things to say about Camila Cabello’s solo career, so we guess the girls are done with the drama.
This episode is brought to you by NHTSA (nit-suh) reminding us that if you’re texting you’re not driving.
When Camila Cabello announced her departure from Fifth Harmony back in December 2016, the circumstances were less than ideal. While the “Never Be the Same” singer had nothing but nice things to say about Ally, Lauren, Normani and Dinah at the time, they fired back and basically said she quit without even speaking to them in person. From that point on, the disses kept on flying back and forth and fans began to lose hope that the fivesome would ever get back to the relationship they once had.
Lauren Jauregui, however, showed Harmonizers that there is, in fact, a possibility for the drama to be forgotten by allegedly making up with Camila while backstage at Jingle Ball at the end of 2017. And now it’s looking like the bad blood between the girls is starting to cool off a bit, as Normani has nothing but good things to say about her former bandmate’s solo career.
The “Love Lies” crooner told Us Weekly at the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards over the weekend QUOTE “She’s killing it. She’s freaking killing it. I’m super proud of her. She is in her own space and she’s happy.”
Camila hasn’t reached out to the 5H girls since they announced their hiatus, but previously said she wishes them “the best.”
She said QUOTE “I don’t have room or desire to have any bad feelings with people. The reason I don’t like talking about it is because I don’t want to fight. I genuinely wish them the best and I just have love for them and the whole journey we went through.”
Normani definitely doesn’t have time for the drama now that she signed her own solo record deal with Keep Cool/RCA Records.
The label’s co-founder said in a statement QUOTE “Normani is a dynamic, multi-talented young woman with vibrant energy and a powerful spirit. We are extremely excited to welcome her into the RCA family and I’m honored to announce her as the first artist signed to Keep Cool. We are all looking forward to watching Normani thrive and flourish as we create incredible music and unforgettable moments together.”
I’m sure a lot of ‘unforgettable moments’ are coming soon from all of the Fifth Harmony members and I honestly cannot wait. Are you surprised that Normani had nothing but good things to say about Camila’s career outside of the group? Which 5H girl’s solo music are you most looking forward to hearing?
