Yes, Harmonizers… you heard it correctly. Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke just announced that she signed a solo deal with Larry Rudolph and his company Maverick/ReignDeer Entertainment. So far, this seems to be a great move for Ally, considering the fact that Larry already manages Fifth Harmony as a whole.
In the statement about the solo deal obtained by Variety, Ally said, “Larry is family. I can’t think of anyone I trust more to take care of me and my vision. I now have the best of both worlds with Larry at the helm of Fifth Harmony and, and Larry in my personal career!”
To give you some perspective, Ally getting signed to Maverick/ReignDeer is a HUGE deal because, not only does the company manage 5H, but they also manage the careers of tons of other superstars including Britney Spears, Pitbull, Aerosmith, and Miley Cyrus. See? We told you it was huge deal!
Although this news is making many Fifth Harmony fans concerned for the future of the group, Ally isn’t the first current member to pursue her dreams of going solo. In recent months, all of the girls have been featured on projects outside of Fifth Harmony, and some of them have also been considering penning solo deals as well!
In October of last year, it was announced that Normani signed her own solo deal with S10 Entertainment. It was also reported by Billboard that Lauren Jauregui was allegedly considering switching from Epic to Columbia to release a solo album of her own.
While it’s still unclear at this point what these solo projects and deals mean for Fifth Harmony, fans of the group are still totally freaking out. One fan on Twitter wrote, QUOTE, “Wait did I miss something, is Fifth Harmony breaking up?” While another fan said, “Fifth Harmony better have plans to make a European & USA Tour before before breaking up.” Yikes.
