Cara Delevingne Gets HACKED & Sparks Breakup Rumors!

Something weird happened between Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson on Twitter but it seems like it might have been thanks to a hacker. So fear not, my friend. The great love story between these two most likely lives on.
What’s up? It’s Drew Dorsey here with Clevver News and just recently Cardi B and Offset were allegedly targeted by a hacker, and now it seems like Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson were also hacked on social media.
At least, that would be ONE explanation for why Cara tweeted and then quickly deleted that she and Ashley had split on Monday night.
Cara and Ashley have been dating for almost two years, so obviously we were all shocked when Cara tweeted last night saying quote, “Me and Ashley broke up.”
Ashley and Cara first fueled romance rumors back in August 2018, when Ashley was rocking a necklace with the letters “C” and “A.”
We all know things are real when you start wearing your boo’s initial around your neck. And shortly after, Cara confirmed her romance with Ashley by sharing a video of the pair kissing.
And ever since then, we’ve been obsessed with these two. So we were VERY upset to see that breakup tweet. The tweet has since been deleted and was only up for 20 short minutes. But even in that short time, fans responded to the surprising post with messages of support and love.
One person tweeted saying quote, “My thoughts are with you both, @Caradelevingne @AshBenzo xo xo”
Another said quote, “I almost cried after learning that ashley benson and cara delevingne broke up”
And another person wrote quote, “Wait Did Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson Break Up or What”
Neither Ashley or Cara have commented on the tweet, but obviously it had the whole internet stirring. But there are a lot of reasons why we think this was a hack. Allow me to explain. First being that Cara immediately deleted it and both she and Ashley have continued as normal on their other social media sites like Instagram.
Also, the tweet is completely out of character from the rest of Cara's Twitter feed, which is mostly used to retweet and promote her current projects.
Seriously, scroll back because Cara hasn’t just tweeted her thoughts since like the summer so it seems pretty unlikely that she’d just tweet something like this.
And just last week, Cara left the flirtiest comment on Ashley's nude photo.
Ashley posted these black and white pics on her IG last Thursday.
Obviously she wasn’t afraid to show a little skin, and we weren’t mad about it, she looks stunning.
The pics received tons of likes and comments from both fans and celebs, including one from the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan, who commented the dizzy face emoji.
To which Cara replied writing quote, "Tell me about it."
And Ashley sweetly replied to Cara’s comment saying quote, “@caradelevingne I love you” with a heart emoji.
So that doesn’t sound like a couple on the brink of breaking up now does it? I THINK NOT.
And fans were obsessed with this cute interaction. Ashley and Cara are typically more private about their relationship, which is yet ANOTHER reason why I think that tweet was from a hacker. But anyway, fans were commenting back to both Ashley and Cara on the thread.
One person wrote quote, “@caradelevingne you guys are too cute.”
Another said quote, “@caradelevingne you are a lucky girl and she is too. This photo is so empowering. You both slay as a couple. Congrats!”
And another wrote quote, “we love a supportive gf”
And while they are usually pretty private, this wasn’t the first time Cara has publicly gushed over Ashley. I mean, not that I blame her, these two are adorable.
In June, Cara talked about Ashley while giving a speech at this year's TrevorLIVE Gala. Though she didn't mention Ashley by name, everyone knew she was referring to her.
Cara said quote, "I also have another very special woman in this room to thank, and you know who you are. She’s one of the people who helped me love myself when I needed it most and I really needed it. She showed me what real love is and how to accept it, which is a lot harder than I thought.”
