Lauren Jauregui (huh-reg-ee) is slamming rumors that there’s drama among the Fifth Harmony girls and that the group plans to break up soon.
Harmonizers can breathe a big sigh of relief right now, because Lauren Jauregui just shut breakup rumors DOWN.
Ever since Camila Cabello (cuh-meel-uh cuh-bey-yo) left Fifth Harmony last December, there have been questions about if the group can last. While the girls have always reassured fans that the have no plans to disband, despite also working on side projects, a recent rumor made it seem like the end was near.
A source told Star magazine that Lauren, Dinah, Normani and Ally were QUOTE “stressed out and snappy” backstage at Jimmy Kimmel Live last month. Things only got worse when the X-Factor-formed group performed at the Tidal x Brooklyn concert.
A witness recalled QUOTE “[It was] amateur hour. One was running seriously late, another was flipping out over her costume. It felt like a group of teenagers getting ready, not grown women.”
These apparent eyewitness accounts made fans concerned about an impending breakup, but Lauren basically called the sources on their BS and shut down rumors that there is trouble in paradise.
She tweeted in response to someone who posted the article in question QUOTE “We did three things in one day after flying in from Costa Rica to rehearse...people are wild. We were chillin that day tho I wonder who these ‘backstage insiders’ were.”
Lauren isn’t the only Fifth Harmony girl who has slammed breakup rumors lately, however. When word got out that Normani signed a solo management deal, people were very concerned. She reassured everyone that there was nothing to worry about by telling Entertainment Tonight QUOTE “It's funny because so many people were like, '5H is over! Oh my gosh! She's leaving the group.' And I'm just sitting in my bed laughing because so many things can be misconstrued and misread and just taken out of context. I'm like, no, I'm not leaving my group. I would never. We're on such a high right now. We're at our peak. It would be dumb at this point, and it's not what I want to do with my heart and soul. That wasn't even a thought.”
So there you have it, Harmonizers. We don’t think you have anything to be worried about. The girls are still as close as ever and seem like they’re planning to make music together for a long time.
