Harry Styles TEASES Second Album & Talks Masculinity with Timothee Chalamet

Harry Styles just did an interview with Timothee Chalamet, and get ready, you guys, because new music is on the way!
Let the countdown to Harry Styles’ sophomore album begin!
ICYMI, Hollywood heartthrob Harry Styles just interviewed Timothee Chalamet for I-D magazine, and we were SO shook — especially because the One Direction star admitted to having trouble eating peaches after watching Timmy in Call My By Your Name (if you know, you know). But even though the chat was technically supposed to be about Timothee and his upcoming film, Beautiful Boy, we actually learned a lot about Harry, too— like the fact that he’s currently working on his sophomore album.
That’s right! After Timmy spoke about some upcoming projects of his own, Harry revealed something that we’ve all been dying to hear— his sophomore album is currently in the works! He told Timothee, QUOTE, “I'm making my second album right now, so I'm going to do that [making the right choices], read a lot and see what happens.”
Harry also said that the process for the second album has been very different than the first because he’s taking his time with it and he isn’t focusing on releasing it until he’s absolutely sure that it’s finished.
"When I got the role in Dunkirk, it happened right at the start of my first album, so I had to stop everything for five months,” Harry said. “But stuff like that always happens when it happens, so... I'm enjoying not knowing to be honest.”
That’s not all, though! Also in the interview, Harry and Timothee discussed masculinity and what it means to both of them. For Harry, masculinity means being “comfortable” with his femininity, which is just one of the many reasons why he’s an absolute icon and a voice for our generation.
Harry told Tim, “I didn’t grow up in a man’s man world. I grew up with my mum and my sister. But I definitely think in the last two years, I’ve become a lot more content with who I am. I think there’s so much masculinity in being vulnerable and allowing yourself to be feminine, and I’m very comfortable with that.”
For those of you who’ve been fans of Harry for a while, you know that the musician is known to challenge the concept of masculinity by wearing women’s clothes and painting his nails, which are two things that society tells us is only for girls.
But even though he does that stuff now, he also admitted that, while he was growing up, he had a completely different idea of what being masculine meant. Now that he’s become more comfortable with who his is, though, he’s learned to embrace that masculinity in a way that’s very different than most.
“I definitely find — through music, writing, talking with friends, and being open — that some of the times when I feel most confident is when I’m allowing myself to be vulnerable,” he said. “It’s something that I definitely try and do.”
From the sound of it, Timothee completely agrees with Harry’s views on masculinity and being vulnerable. The Lady Bird actor responded by saying, QUOTE, “That’s really beautiful and inspiring, and certainly it goes back to feeling comfortable in chaos and creating in madness. It’s almost a high to be vulnerable. I really get that.” Do we sense a new pair of celebrity besties coming our way??
