Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali today recalled the day she was summoned by her brother Ismail Ali, Bank Negara Malaysia's (BNM) first Malaysian governor, to explain how Dr Mahathir Mohamad was able to afford building a house in Kuala Lumpur.
She revealed this at the commemoration of Ismail Ali’s centennial birthday and the launch of the memoir Tun Ismail Ali – Paragon of Trust and Integrity in Kuala Lumpur today.
