Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Abdul Karim stood up to defend Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal in the Dewan Rakyat today, saying he should have the right to defend himself following a motion to suspend him for six months.

The Prime Minister’s Department has tabled a motion to suspend Wan Fayhsal for six months for citing an anonymous letter during parliamentary debates on July 1, that purportedly maligns civil servants under the department using unverified information.
