Hindu-based NGO Malaysia Hindudharma Maamandram has urged the government to establish a Hindu Affairs Division under the Prime Minister’s Department after the recent violent clashes at the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Hindu temple last week. The group said the new department can help come up with guidelines and standard operating procedures to handle land and relocation matters involving Hindu temples in the future.
