Deputy Home Ministry Shamsul Anuar Nasarah told the Dewan Negara today that 136 Immigration Department officers have been investigated and found guilty of criminal offenses and misconduct related to the entry process of foreign nationals into Malaysia, from 2020 until last year.
He said out of this total, 112 cases involved officers who violated the code of conduct under the Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) Regulation 1993, while the remaining 24 cases were criminal offenses decided by the court.
