Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad told the audience at a town hall session in Petaling Jaya last night how police had submitted reports about Harapan de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's purported “misdeeds” to him three years before the former deputy prime minister was arrested.
He said he thought the police were trying to undermine Anwar as he was his deputy and didn't ask police to take action.
He said he later met and interviewed the people who claimed that they were abused by Anwar.
