Indira Gandhi's ex-husband fails to show up in Federal Court

The Federal Court heard the submission of Indira Gandhi's appeal after her ex-husband, Muhammad Riduan Abdullah who is a Muslim convert, failed to turn up in court to explain why he has not returned their 8-year-old daughter, Prasana Diksa to her.The legal tussle began in April 2009 when Muhammad Riduan took Prasana, then 11 months old, and two other children and converted them to Islam. However, Indira regained custody of her three children in 2010 with orders for her ex-husband to return Prasana. Indira Gandhi's counsel, K. Shanmuga said the hearing will be heard on Dec 5.
