Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin was named as PN’s “poster boy” in the previous Sabah state election and GE15.

However, a recent verbal spat between Bersatu, PAS, and Gerakan leaders had raised new questions on whether he would once again be the coalition’s prime minister candidate.

In an interview with Malaysiakini, Muhyiddin said individual leaders are free to voice their opinions but a final decision, which he is prepared to accept, will be made only in PN’s supreme council monthly meeting.
