Jack Gilinsky & Madison Beer Respond to Leaked Abusive Audio

Jack Gilinsky apologizes over leaked audio of him slutshaming girlfriend Madison Beer, plus Madison speaks out.
Once the audio of Jack berating Madison made its way around the internet, it didn’t take long for #JackGilinskyIsOverParty to start trending on twitter.
Jack is speaking out after audio of himself saying things like “You're a f--king slut. Look at me. You're a slut. You're a little slut and you haven't told me about something” to his then-girlfriend and fellow singer Madison. Fans were naturally outraged by the horrific way he speaks to Madison on the tape, and Jack took to Twitter to issue an explanation and apology to them. The apology read in part QUOTE, “There's no justifying the words that came out of my mouth in that audio file. In no way do I stand behind who I was in that part of my life. But people change & learn from their mistakes. The clip you've all heard is from last year. I was in a very dark place, & clearly had no control over my emotions...Like any couple, Mad & I have had our fair share of ups & downs, this clip specifically being one of our lowest points, Madison knew if she didn't help me overcome my ways and change, no one would, & I would never learn from my mistakes. I'll never be able to thank her enough for believing in me the way she did during that time. In no way do I expect to be forgiven or felt bad for. I'm at fault for all of my actions & I know better than to treat a woman, or anyone for that matter, the way I did then...That is not the person I am today and I do not want ANYONE to think it's ok to act the way I acted in that clip.” He ended his statement by urging his followers to talk to someone if they find themselves in a similarly dark place, and that all he wants to do moving forward is spread positivity.
Meanwhile Madison also responded to the leaked audio on social media herself, telling her followers QUOTE, "Jack and I having to face this yet again has been so hard...Many of you asking me, 'Why would you stay with him if it happened last year!' My theory was, and as horrible as this is, is that if I left him, he'd do it to the next girl. I tried to fix him...We have both grown and changed so much at this point and it has been an extremely difficult thing to relive / even go thru what you have all heard in the first place and I hope ALL of my fans learn from my foolishness”. She went on to encourage her followers to speak up if they find themselves being mistreated by someone in any way, admitting that she was blinded by love in her situation.
