Everyone may have their own opinions on the leaked video, but leave it to Jack’s right-hand-man to expose his side of the story, receipts and all.
If you thought Madison Beer’s statement last week following the leaked audio footage of her then-boyfriend Jack Gilinsky’s verbal abuse attacks were the final calm after the storm, well, you may want to think again.
Over the weekend, Jack’s best friend and YouTube partner Jack Johnson posted a video to his YouTube account titled “The Truth” the quickly went viral, and while he agrees that what his boy ‘G’ said to Madison wasn’t justifiable under any circumstances, he DID come clean about the truth about their relationship, and even dug up receipts from fans to which Madison was allegedly in on leaking the audio clip.
Jack also explained in the video that their toxic relationship was fully mutual, adding QUOTE, “"I've heard Madison call Jack things and just say thing about people in general that would undoubtedly put her in this exact position right now.” He also said he’s been around their fights for the past three years, and that QUOTE, “Jack and Madison should've realized a long time ago that they were toxic for each other. I'm not gonna let her make it seem like it was just Gilinsky saying s--t to her and not vice versa because that's never been the case.”
But just hours after Jack Johnson’s truth bomb went viral, Madison posted yet another statement, most likely in response to the video, claiming that she does not need verification or anyone to believe her about the abusive claims. She started out by saying QUOTE, “"I urged women to speak up and to learn from my foolishness. I now understand why it's difficult for women to speak up and why I was so afraid to do so all this time. Why is the source of the video the story? Why is the woman who was being abused being called a liar? Why am I to blame? What happened in the video is real. There is no going around that. The abuse is real...and I let it happen.”
She went on to apologize for portraying a perfect relationship via social media and urged her followers, once again, to speak up and take a stand, rather than stay in an abusive relationship. Her final thoughts that coincided with Jack Johnson’s claims stated, “You will be called a liar, you will be put in the line of fire, but do not let them silence you. I say this again, nothing is worth your safety or happiness. Speak out. That is all I have to say.”
Both Jack and Jack have yet to respond to Madison’s second statement, but hopefully for the sake of the Internet and everyone’s well-being, they continue to go their separate ways, but right now I’m curious to know what you guys thought of Jack Johnson’s truth video – do you think he should’ve stayed out of it, or do you think there was some truth to it?
