Yesterday Shane Dawson has dropped the explosive finale of his docuseries that dives into Jake Paul’s life. One topic explored in The Mind of Jake Paul is whether or not Jake Paul and Erika Costell’s relationship is real… or if it’s been fabricated for YouTube. The finale episode starts with Jake and Erika arriving at Shane’s house. During some casual banter in the living room, Jerika’s origin story is revealed.
So why would it take them so long to make things official? Jake revealed that during this time a lot of his life was coming down around him and he didn’t know who to trust. Timing is everything, my friends. And we gotta admit, these two seem pretty perfect for each other right now. But it turns out Jerika almost never happened. The first couple years that Erika was living and working with Jake in the Team 10 house, she had a serious boyfriend.
Okay, this is kinda adorable. These two saw each other everyday for two years and never had feelings for each other. Jake admitted that one day he woke up and thought, “Damn, she’s hot.” Starting off as friends usually does make a lot of relationships work out in the end. Yup, we’re shipping this.
If you recall, earlier in the series Jake’s former manager Nick Crompton said that Erika was one of the best things that has happened to Jake’s life. So what’s your final verdict on Jerika?
