Jake Paul uploaded a vlog on his channel just yesterday coming to his brother Logan’s defense regarding the suicide video that landed him in hot water a little less than a month ago.
In the video, which garnered 6.4 million views in the 24 hours it was up, Logan was walking through a forest in Japan, known to many as the “suicide forest.” There, he and his friends came across a victim of suicide, exploited the person for views, and made several inappropriate jokes in the heat of the moment.
Since receiving backlash, Logan has apologized in writing on Twitter, and again in a video on YouTube.
And now, as we approach a month since the drama all went down, his brother Jake is speaking out.
In a vlog on Jake’s channel that he posted just yesterday, he explained that a lot of people have been asking him to share his thoughts on his brother’s controversy, and although he didn’t say much, he did mention that he just wanted to, QUOTE, “give the situation time to breathe.”
Jake also said that even though his brother’s actions were wrong, he has been paying for it and learning from it every day since. But, even though Jake DID say that it’s never okay to make a joke out of suicide and mental illness, he knows that hurting and offending people was not Logan’s intention at all.
