Jamie Foxx's Daughter Corinne Foxx Named Miss Golden Globe 2016

A brand new Miss Golden Globe has officially been crowned and we’re bringing you all the details right here on Clevver’s Trophy Life
Jamie Foxx is surely one proud papa, after his daughter and actress Corinne Foxx has just been named Miss Golden Globe 2016.
The 73rd annual Golden Globes are right around the corner, and what better way to kick off the excitement than by honoring one of Hollywood’s sweethearts with the title of Miss Golden Globe. Corinne, who is currently a senior at the University of Southern California, has proved herself to be one of the freshest new faces in the industry, after recently shooting a campaign her accessory line called The Icing.
She expressed her excitement for her new title, saying QUOTE, “Throughout the years I’ve grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor. I’m honored that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he’s been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments.”
Each year, a new Miss or Mister Golden Globe is chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and is generally the son or daughter of one of the industry’s leading ladies or gentlemen. Previous honorees have included Rumer Willis, Dakota Johnson, Kelsey Grammer’s daughter, Greer Grammer, Sosie Bacon, the daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick; Francesca Eastwood, the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher and Sam Fox, the son of Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan.
HFPA President Lorenzo Soria made the announcement last night during the first party of the 2016 Golden Globe Awards Season, saying, “We are delighted to have Corinne Foxx continue the tradition and have her as our 2016 Miss Golden Globe. Like her father, she leads a fine example of following her dreams and we can’t wait to see what she does next.”
The Golden Globes will air LIVE in January on NBC at 5 p.m. eastern standard time from the Beverly Hilton Hotel with host Ricky Gervais and is sure to be a star-studded event you won’t want to miss.
