One of Young Hollywood’s longest running couples has headed to splits-ville and we’re pretty bummed out about it. Singers Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have officially called it quits after dating since as far back as 2011. Sources say the decision part ways was mutual and that Jordin and Jason still care very much about each other and plan to stay in each other’s lives. What makes this break-up all the more shocking is that over the course of the last year and even up until the announcement was made, almost everyone thought engagement news was right around the corner. After all, think about, these two were not shy about their love – guys, Jason even said his song “Marry Me,” in which Jordin starred in the music video, was actually about her and how QUOTE: Amazing it will be when I get down on one knee and it will be the greatest moment of my life. He added that “You can’t fake anything because true love is true love, and that’s the basis of our relationship.” And just a month ago, J and J walked the carpet at the MTV MVAs in matching white outfits – you don’t do that unless you are seriously committed. I think my heart literally hurts right now. But who knows, we shouldn’t lose hope – they could always get back together sometime in the future. They’re both young (Jordin is 24 and Jason is 25) and they’re both incredibly busy with their careers. Jason has had two of the biggest songs out this year (Talk Dirty to Me and Wiggle) and his tour stars in less than a month here in the states.
