Jay Z Gets Candid About Beyonce Marriage, Says It Wasn't Built On "100% Truth"

On his latest studio album, 4:44 Jay-Z addresses many personal struggles within his marriage including infidelity accusations. Although, the marital confessions were at the focal point of discussion for many because hello it involves Beyonce, let’s not forget that Jay’s album also addresses many important issues such as institutional racism and inspiring those who look up to him to invest in practical business decisions as well as being a rock for one’s family. After taking on race issues in his Footnotes for “The Story of O.J” documentary he has now released “Footnotes for 4:44.” In the eleven minute video, you see deep conversations about relationships with women from Chris Rock, Will Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Paul, Jesse Williams, Aziz Ansari, Mahershala Ali, and Meek Mill. Jay addresses the struggles he personally went through with Beyonce saying QUOTE - “This is my real life. I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 percent truth and it starts cracking. Things start happening that the public can see. Then we had to get to a point of, ‘Okay, tear this down and let’s start from the beginning … It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. What is happening to my body right now? Did I just say … ‘Don’t leave’? All this is new for me.”
He also mentioned that Beyonce, of course heard the full album long before it’s release which Jay admits had to happen to ensure it was truthful.
