Seriously Seriously EW EW, Jimmy Fallon named Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainer of the Year and in case you missed the memo, the EW here is code word for AWESOME! And on top of that – you’re looking at the most die-hard Jimmy Fallon fan on the planet. I’ve loved this funny dude since these days
Yep a lot has happened since Jimmy released his track and video for “I’m an Idiot and I’m Your Boyfriend” (and FYI that was Zoey Deschanel as his girlfriend in the vid). If you’re like me you probably don’t find this accolade surprising at all, but the always modest and positive Jimmy F told EW that QUOTE “This is definitely the most exciting year of my life,” adding that between his baby and the Tonight Show both kicking off in 2014, his life is growing. The host is giving the credit to his amazing team – people he says on always on their A-game and that are “truly magicians.” And let’s face people – ratings don’t lie – Entertainment Weekly notes that Jimmy’s ratings are almost double those of Jay Leno, and even Leno says that the show feels different now, saying “it’s young, it’s music oriented.” And I feel like I can say as someone in the YouTube space, Jimmy is absolutely killing it. I’d even venture to say that in my opinion, without a doubt, a huge portion of his young audience really only knows him now because of his sketches and clips on the interwebs. From the History of Rap with Justin Timberlake to the Real Housewives of Late Night to Bothered with Robert Pattinson to most recently the EW sketch with Taylor Swift, the biggest thing Jimmy has to offer is his positive attitude, fun approach to everything he does and let’s just keep it real…this guy might be modest but I’ll say, he is one of the most ridiculously talented people on TV and I’d say he’ll go down in history for sure.
