The Jinjang South Tambahan (JST) residents today urged the mayor to fulfil his promise of resolving their long-standing housing problems.
"The mayor promised the developers would build replacement houses for the residents yet until now there has been no construction and we want the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to urge the developers to build houses for the residents immediately," said JST residents association secretary Ameer Khan Bargathalli today.
The JST residents have been living on temporary occupation licence (TOL) land for decades and they were given eviction notices to move out of their homes by Jan 31 this year.
