JK Rowling reveals there’s actually TWO Harry Potters? Get all the details right here on News Feed.
This Episode is Brought to you by Transformers: The Last Knight. Check it out in theaters Wednesday, June 21st. Tickets now on sale.
JK Rowling is delving deeper into Harry Potter’s family tree, including one family member who was apparently the OG Harry Potter.
On a recent post on her Pottermore website, JK delved deeper into Harry’s family history and revealed that he isn’t the first Harry in this family. According to the author, way before the Boy Who Lived entered the Wizarding World, his great grandfather Henry Potter was known to friends as “Harry”, and just like his great grandson, he also wasn’t afraid to shake things up and stand up for what he believed in. JK explained in the post QUOTE, “Henry caused a minor stir when he publicly condemned then Minister for Magic, Archer Evermonde, who had forbidden the magical community to help Muggles waging the First World War. His outspokenness on the behalf of the Muggle community was also a strong contributing factor in the family's exclusion from the 'Sacred Twenty-Eight.'"
Avid fans of the series will recall that the ‘Sacred Twenty-Eight’ was a list of pure-blooded wizarding families composed by an anonymous source. Hmmm, I think I smell another potential prequel story coming on...
