Johor Umno delegate Mohd Jafni Md Shukor spoke in Mandarin at the Umno General Assembly today, with a message of encouragement for BN coalition partner MCA.
He said MCA's recent victory in Tanjung Piai should inspire the party to regain the support of the Chinese community nationwide.
BN scored a landslide victory in the Tanjung Piai by-election last month, wresting the parliamentary seat from Pakatan Harapan.
BN, represented by MCA's Wee Jeck Seng, won by a whopping 15,086-vote majority against Harapan's Karmaine Sardini, who is from Bersatu.
