Economist Prof Dr Jomo Kwame Sundaram said a strong political will is needed to push for renewable energy (RE) in Malaysia.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday on the sidelines of a public forum on Budget 2020, Jomo said the government should make a strong indication that the country is serious about renewable energy production, and make a determined switch to promoting palm-oil based biodiesel.
