Justin Bieber jumped right back on the music train today, dropping his new single “Friends”, so wherever you plan on listening today, PREPARE TO DANCE.
Justin Bieber is officially BACK, and all he’s asking is to just be friends…
It may be a new Justin Bieber JAM, but it’s also a reunion of JB’s good “friends” among many other things. That’s right, all of Justin’s collaborators from his smash hit “Sorry” have returned for yet another upbeat dance-driven track, and it may just be his best yet. Check it out:
For the song, Bieber teamed up once again with BloodPop AKA Michel Tucker, who co-produced “Friends” with Skrillex, along with “Sorry” co-writer Julia Michaels who also returned for this track. Justin has since been teasing the release of “Friends” with cryptic tweets that included the lyrics to the song, writing, “Can we still be friends” and also included the track’s cover art, which featured a picture of two birds fighting over a worm.
And just today as the song was released at 12 p.m., Justin posted a clip of what may be a lyric video following the song’s release, so we can hopefully expect that, along with a full-on music video in the near future.
Although Justin announced his tour cancellation last month, he also stated that he’d like to have a sustainable career, saying QUOTE, “But I also want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable. So that I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be.”
So maybe this is his way of continuing doing what he loves while also maintaining a healthy, stress-free lifestyle for the time being. Regardless, something tells me this won’t be the last we see of Justin, and seeing that his previous collab “Despacito” is currently tied for the longest-reigning Hot 100 No. 1, I have a feeling that “Friends” might just give “Despacito” a run for its money.
But only time will tell, so right now I want to know all your thoughts on “Friends” once you’re doing hitting that repeat button, that is, so get to talking down here in the comments, and after that, you can click right over here to get the scoop on Zayn’s backup plan if he were to never become a singer. Thanks for hanging out with me here on Clevver News, I’m your host Zoe Lillian and I’ll see you next time.
