Ellen DeGeneres and Justin Bieber give back in a big, big way…
A Detroit school is about to get much more than just a makeover thanks to Lowes, Ellen, JB and even you…
You guys know Ellen and the Biebs are all about giving back. Well, it came to Ellen’s attention that there’s a school in Detroit under the most horrific conditions that no student or teacher should ever have to tolerate. Spain Elementary-Middle School in Michigan barely have text books or working computers. The heater doesn’t work so they all wear huge coats to try to survive those Detroit winters in the class room. The walls and ceilings are infested with mold. The gym had to be shut down because of the mold and mildew problem so P.E. is now held in the hallways. And when Ellen heard of this she got to work! Thanks to Lowes, the school is receiving $50,000 in technology so these students finally have computers to work with, another $200,000 also by Lowes along with volunteers to help patch up the school and give it the facelift it desperately needs, and then there was this…
Obviously all the kids went crazy, and so did Ellen’s audience. But Biebs wasn’t just there to watch the giveaways. He had a little surprise for this Detroit school…
That IS a LOT of tickets! So now even YOU all can feel good about yourselves knowing that with every ticket to Bieb’s upcoming concert that you purchase, you’re helping this awesomedeserving community in Detroit. And as if $250,000 dollars from Lowes and who knows HOW much from Biebs wasn’t enough, Lowes decided to donate ANOTHER 250K. That’s half a million total JUST from Lowes. Isnt that awesome? Doesn’t that just make you feel good and make you feel a tiny bit less guilty about about expensivce tickets to see Justin live in concert?
