When asked the inevitable questions about his past relationship with Selena Gomez, Justin was extremely honest saying QUOTE - “I’m proud of the woman she is today. When you love someone that much, even if something comes between you, it’s a love that never really dies.” However as far as Revival is concerned, Justin admitted that he hasn’t listened to it yet saying – “I know I had a lot of play in that one. I don’t know what she’s saying about me.”
Justin also opened up about being a child star and how the grass isn’t always greener on the other side as many would assume. Justin was honest saying QUOTE - “I wouldn’t suggest being a child star. It’s the toughest thing in the world. Everything is so on people’s looks and stuff ... Look at the statistics on how many child stars have crumbled and turned out to be wack jobs. It’s because -- it’s f---ed, bro, this lifestyle.”
That led him to bring up his friend Kylie Jenner who’s also been in the limelight since childhood. He defended her saying QUOTE - “I want people to be more kind to young celebrities. Like Kylie. Look at her world: She has been living on TV since she was a kid. Every time she’s looking around she sees a camera, and that’s affecting how she’s thinking and how she’s perceiving people and why she has to do certain things ... Situations that happen taint your mind, especially in this industry. Especially for girls.”
Justin talked about how his troubled past unfortunately led him to become rather distant from his mom saying that they’re relationship over the past two years has unfortunately been pretty nonexistent. He said QUOTE – “ I was distant because I was ashamed. I never wanted my mom to be disappointed in me and I knew she was. We spent some time not talking, so it takes time to rebuild that trust. She’s living in Hawaii now, so it’s hard, but getting better. She’s an amazing woman and I love her.”
And although Justin said that he’s not ready to move on yet in terms of relationships, he did set the record straight on some of his past flings and said in the future he hopes to find a woman who knows her worth. He admitted that he never had anything serious with Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin is QUOTE – “one of [his] best friends in the entire world,” and although its been 6 months, he’s still in the process of getting to know Jayde Pierce, who he recently took a trip with to Bora Bora when his junk was revealed.
