While most Penangites hit by last weekend's floods are beginning to clean up after the storm, villagers in Kampung Terus, Penanti on the mainland are still waiting to be able to go home.

Flood waters spilling from paddy fields on either side cut off access to some roads in the village, beyond them, homes sunken in waist deep waters.
