Six DAP representatives including Seremban MP Anthony Loke and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) secretary-general S Arutchelvan were among the protestors arrested for trying to stop the demolition of Kampung Hakka in Mantin, Negri Sembilan on Thursday.

They were eventually released at 8.30pm on the same day.

Kampung Hakka village head Chong Tza Yew said since they have managed to obtain a stay on execution from the court yesterday afternoon, they will not give up their fight for their homes.

Despite their houses being destroyed, he said they will return to the same site to rebuild their homes.
