Yesterday November 21st Kanye was handcuffed and rushed to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after a call was made about Kanye “acting erratically”. Kanye was at his trainer Harley Pasternak’s home, when around 1:20pm someone called the cops about a disturbance that became a medical emergency call.
According to TMZ when paramedics showed up at Harley’s home Kanye was much calmer and was resistant to going to the hospital. However, his management and law enforcement convinced the rapper it was best to go and standard protocol indicated he was handcuffed to a gurney during transport. Sources connected to Kanye say he was getting checked by a doctor for sleep deprivation while at his trainer’s house but someone decided to call the police.
So where was his wife Kim Kardashian West in the middle of all this? Reports claim Kim was set to make her big red carpet return following her Paris robbery on Monday. Kim had flown to NYC with Khloe and Kourtney to attend the annual Angel Ball, honoring their late father Robert Kardashian. But upon hearing the news of Kanye, Kim hopped on a flight back to LA to be by his side.
This developing story comes just days after Kanye went on a rant about Jay Z and Beyonce at his concert, cut his show short, and then abruptly cancelled the remaining 21 Saint Pablo tour dates all together.
A source told PEOPLE magazine, “He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation. He went to the hospital at will under the advise of his physician. He’s fine.” The source revealed Kanye feels like he’s under “spiritual attack” right now and often goes through deep emotions in November as this is the month his mother passed away.
