Kate Upton’s most recent Snapchat story has fans raising questions concerning an ongoing feud with the Kardashians after throwing some serious shaaaade.
We can officially tack on one more celeb to the long list of A-listers who seem find the Kardashian booty an easy roasting target… but really, we’re runnin’ out of room here!
Known for flaunting her 24/7 bikini bod in sunny swim spreads, you’d think Kate Upton would be a stranger to the term ‘shade’… but that clearly wasn’t the case yesterday when the model took it upon herself to launch all the shade toward the Kardashian clan.
Kate took to Snapchat to share a series of videos and photos throughout her day yesterday, but one in particular stood out among her followers. She posed for one photo with a duck face pout, captioning the photo QUOTE, “I look like a Kardashian, nose job and all.”
Well, hey, at least she was subtle about it, right? If only I could say that with a straight face… It’s no secret the Kardashians have been the subject of plastic surgery rumors for years, including the time Kim lashed out against rumors she had plastic surgery during her pregnancy with North West back in 2013, but many are wondering where the jabs are coming from, seeing that Kate and the Kardashians haven’t had a public dispute in over 3 years.
Many fans have traced the shade throwing all the way back to the time Kanye West lashed out at Vanity Fair for describing Kate as ‘the next Marilyn Monroe’ when she appeared on the cover dressed like the late actress, stating QUOTE, “I have a love-hate relationship with the paparazzi, but I actually love them because they are empowering us. They are empowering us over Vanity Fair that want to say that Kate Upton is Marilyn Monroe. Kate Upton ain't Marilyn Monroe. Kim is Marilyn Monroe. She was controversial. She is controversial.”
The Wests graced the cover of Vanity Fair 5 months later, which was reported to be the cover that Kate was originally intended to be. Kate and Kim have also had competitive beef competing as the sexiest burger model for Carl’s Jr.’s iconic racy commercials, so it’s quite possible that the two parties have never been a fan of each other.
None of the Kardashians have yet to respond to the Snap, and as a supportive family should do, they’ve always had each other’s’ backs, so let’s just hope Kate’s got her armor ready for some major family damage control… but until then, I want to know what you guys think about all this shade… where did it come from and was it really called for?
