Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin admitted on Monday that the National Civics Bureau (BTN) was used for political purposes after being pressed by reporters. Earlier, Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman announced that BTN and the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) were abolished with immediate effect as the programmes had been misused for the purpose of the indoctrination of certain beliefs.
